A Migrant's Tale Full Description

Jerzy was a young, Polish migrant. His journey took him through Russia, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, India, Pakistan, Iran, England and beyond. He met characters including a neurotic Russian girl, a Chinese 'politics' lecturer, Pakistani preachers, a queer old Dutchman and an Indian guru. He developed an infatuation with a Thai 'higher' prostitute and, in China, he was accosted by a vain Brazilian who nurtured an obsessive loathing of the Chinese. During his journey, Jerzy jubilantly discovered the secret of life, but this contributed to him entering a downward spiral ending in total disillusionment. Jerzy, as he roamed, also became more and more aware that barriers to international migration are wicked, dangerous and meaningless.
