The label rewarded her with a trip to Los Angeles to make an album with celebrated composer/pianist Antonio Carlos ( Tom ) Jobim. This encounter resulted in one of the most sublime collaborations in the history of popular music. Thirty years later, the acclaimed pianist,composer, arranger and former husband of Elis, Cesar Camargo Mariano, has painstakingly worked with state of the art technology to remix the original tapes of this legendary recording session. The result is a phenomenal 5.1 surround sound DVD-Audio which will delight disciples and new comers alike. This format, considered to be the next musical revolution, situates the listener inside the music and not behind a wall of sound, as in the case of classic stereo recording. Elis's impeccable interpretation of the Jobim repertoire is enhanced beyond belief. The DVD remix edition also features bonus tracks of Fotografia and an English version of Bonita.
